- Sometimes, it’s too hard to quote something sight unseen
- There can be any number of variables that get thrown into the mix
- Without seeing, we’d be guessing at best, sometimes far too high, or far too low!
- So, to avoid any confusion or arguments, we are happy to provide onsite quotations
- These can be done free of charge and obligation – as it helps both us and the customer to have a more realistic expectation of the job at hand.
- If you do have a curly one or find it hard to describe, FACC are more than happy to come to you!
- Fresh Aire is growing!
- We’ve had some unprecedented growth this year and now bursting at the seams with our workload.
- We are actively looking for a new staff member!

- Yesterday, I had a customer that had had the complete opposite experience
- Paid for a service, but withing a very short while, there were more and more issues appearing, but the contractor involved found every excuse for it to not be his fault when contacted and then point blank blocked them and refused any communication, leaving them with a major issue
- Our guarantee is that you will be happy and we will not leave you high and dry. No one is perfect 100% of the time, but how it is dealt with is the most important thing.
- So if you want someone you can trust, Fresh Aire is your company!
- We’ve been doing some work with a couple of aged care businesses of late.
- These people assist elderly people who want to live out their days in their own homes, at least for as long as possible.
- It’s a lovely way for people to stay independent for as long as possible.
- We get called in to assist them with keeping their carpets and upholstery maintained.
- We make sure to treat them and their properties with the due respect that they deserve.
- They’re mostly lovely old folk, and it’s an honour to be able to help them out
- So, this week, we’re looking for contacts in a similar field, such as:

- With Carl off as well (healthy baby girl born New Years Day!) it’s been head down, bum up

- Ah, the wonderful world of supermarket products
- Had a customer this week who’d had some red dye transfer from a rug onto a carpet
- So of course, she tried to do it herself
- A couple of concoctions later and the carpet looked worse than ever with it now being a huge red, brown and fuzzy patch!
- Fresh Aire to the rescue
- We managed to pull the red dyes, deal with the browning issue and de-fuzz the pile
- Needless to say, she was extremely relieved as the house was about to go to market
- Moral of the story – don’t believe the advertising hype
- In case anyone hasn’t noticed, it’s been a little wet of late
- And that has meant quite a bit of flooding and wet carpets!
- And hand in hand with that has come mould
- So what you say? A little mould never hurt anyone!
- As a matter of fact, it has and does, regularly! It is a known trigger for people with respiratory issues!
- Mould occurs when carpeting or even upholstery has been left for too long.
- Given that it grows in areas of no light and no air movement, it thrives in the back of wet carpets, giving you that typical musty smell.
- So musty that in fact we’ve had a few recently with so much mould, it was also on top of the carpet! I’ve even seen some with a mushroom farm thriving!
- By this stage, it is far too late! If you can see mould, the carpet is generally destroyed and in need of replacement.
- So, if you get wet carpets, please make sure you deal with them sooner rather than later before your fungal growth eats you out of house and home!
- Had a Facebook referral come through
- Guy had dropped red wine on his wool rug and was looking for advice on how to fix it
- Boy, didn’t the comments/suggestions come flying in!
- Some not too bad, some downright deadly to wool!
- Even one from the Shannon Lush book of horrors, which would have permanently damaged the fibres!
- Luckily, he only tried the salt process, which is reasonably safe, and then gave up
- He then wisely took note of the tag to Fresh Aire and called us.
- He now has a lovely, clean and unstained rug with the added benefit of Microseal protection… just in case his dog ever wags his tail near a wine glass again!
- Sometimes, experience just helps!
- Been called in to do a couple of inspections and reports this week
- Carpets had already been dealt with by others, but the customers were not happy!
- We were called in to see what our opinion was and whether we could fix the issue.
- Answer was yes, we can fix it! Bob the Builder ain’t got nothin on us!
- Fairly straightforward fix – if you know how! It wasn’t that the cleaner had done a bad job!
- That’s where experience comes into it, we know our way around problems.
- Nearly 34 years for me, over 5 years of sometimes challenging work for Carl who gets to dive in the deep end, but with my back-up as well.
- Anything out of the ordinary on your carpets, tiles, upholstery, think of us!
- Carl had an interesting one last week
- Photos sent through, some bleach marks in the doorways
- Most likely from floor cleaning detergents
- Once Carl arrived, he found more… and more… and more… and… you get the idea!
- It was at the point where replacement was probably a good choice BUT
- This house was going to market – last weekend! So had to be done!
- Carl took the challenge, completed the job and even managed not to break the budget!
- One happy customer
