BLOG PAGE STYLE #2
- Allergies – nothing to be sneezed at!
- And as spring approaches, people will be affected more and more
- Sneezes , sniffles and… stuff
- But… it’s not always just about hayfever – some people have some serious chemical or perfume allergies too.
- So when we clean, it’s not just about making it look clean; we’re also interested in keeping you heathier!
- Proper cleaning procedures as per AS3733 standards including HEPA vacuuming, chemistry that is hypoallergenic and processes that sanitise as well as clean, all combine to give our customers the healthiest outcomes we can provide
- So if you need someone to take care of your carpets, tiles or furniture and not just make them look a little better, make sure you hand them our card and tell them:
- Fresh Aire Carpet Cleaning, if you need tha definite breath of Fresh Aire for your home!
- Customer: “Hi, got a tiny bit of mould on my carpet, can you come and fix it?”
- Fresh Aire: “Sure we’ll fix it”
- And in we go, pull it all up and ditch it!
- Customer: “OMG, WHY???”
- Fresh Aire: “ Because if you want fresh air and not a health hazard, that’s what we should do!
- Mould appearing on top of a carpet indicates something VERY wrong underneath the carpet and I can almost guarantee that a Jute backing has been wet for a very long period of time!
- It means the mould is running rampant under there and damage has occurred, to the point of no return.
- So, what you really need is the area removed and refreshed with some nice, fresh stuff in its place
- Fresh Aire Carpet Cleaning, for when you want proper advice and to keep that air fresh in your home!!
- “OOOPS, sorry luv, it’ll clean off!”
- Not the words you want to hear from the guy delivering your brand new, very expensive lounge suite!
- But something we have had to deal with a lot of late, with many a new lounge suite being delivered with what are termed “handling marks”
- Or what we might call – “Carelessness!!”
- So what should you do if this happens to you?
- ABSOLUTELY NOTHING beyond a thorough vacuuming. Anything after that can result in potential issues and believe me, we’ve also seen our fair share of that!
- So other than vacuuming, we should be your first port of call. We can deal with it efficiently and safely, which with today’s modern fabrics (many with viscose) can be quite challenging!
- It may appear relatively minor, but if you want the best result possible
- This week has been a strange week
- We’ve had lots of people cancelling, changing appointments due to Covid
- Our appointment book has resembled more of a Merry-Go-Round than anything else!
- But with that comes opportunity to catch up with things, so to me, it’s actually been the silver lining!
- Getting things organised that have been building up in the background but are now done and taken care of.
- So, inconvenience is not always inconvenient! Sometimes it’s a trigger to get stuff done, including for my customers!
- So it’s a positive spin this week from me, unplanned plans can be a good thing!
- Aren’t these machines you can buy just fantastic?
- Every bit as good as professional machines, aren’t they?
- We can do all of our carpets and upholstery ourselves now and save money
- Wait, what’s happening?
- It’s all gone a smudgy brown, and we can’t fix it!
- Maybe we do need a professional
- One lovely, expensive lounge suite down the toilet… but wait, I have a magic wand!
- A quick flourish over the lounge suite and voila, all fixed 😀
- Sometimes, it’s just better to call a pro AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GRIEF!!
- Interesting week for us…
- We’ve done a wide variety of houses in a wide range of suburbs
- Sometimes even on the same day
- Carl for instance did two rather trashed houses in socio-economically challenged suburbs yesterday
- Then ended up in a “leafy suburb” with brand new Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini SUV gracing the garage!
- But the one common thing they all had; the need for a good cleaning!
- And that’s where we can help, no matter what station of life you are in. Everyone gets the same level of service and respect!
- Leather – beautiful, durable, can take just about anything, right?
- WRONG!
- This is a product that like anything, needs regular maintenance
- Waiting until it “look” dirty is the worst thing for it
- Sweat, oils, sunlight all can degrade it
- So regular cleaning AND adding protection into it will mean a longer lasting leather
- The stuff is expensive, so look after your investment, get us in for a clean and protection before your once-supple leather starts cracking and crazing
- Fresh Aire Carpet Cleaning, for carpets, upholstery, tiles AND leather!
- CATS – Some people love em, some people hate em
- We have a love/hate relationship with them!
- As most people know, cats can be … on the nose
- And their urine is particularly difficult to deal with!
- So when it comes to that cute, cuddly cat making a “little mess” in the corner, it does become a big issue for us.
- Even our normally foolproof system can sometimes struggle – our current go-to is exceedingly strong and can be overpowering.
- This is why we’re always on the lookout for something better to ensure we can fix the problem
- Working on a new product now that is odourless, but effective, so WATCH THIS SPACE!
- Wine – elixir of the gods…
- Many of us enjoy a glass or two of wine – in Murray’s case a carafe or three…
- But I had a customer last week whose carpet enjoyed a whole case of wine!
- That definitely has to rate as the largest single wine spill I’ve ever had to deal with!
- After commiserating with my client, I set about extracting the abundance of fermented grape juice from the now very pink-looking carpet – that also happened to be where her dog had decided would be a good place to use as his toilet!
- So, a double whammy!
- Fortunately, the chemistry for wine stains and urine remediation are quite similar, so I was able to tackle both issues at once
- I guess you could say that job was actually a piss-take!
- There was an interesting article that popped up this week, promoted on Channel 7
- Don’t know if anyone saw it, but it was about saving money on rug cleaning with shaving foam
- Yes, that’s right, shaving foam is the housewife’s saviour according to a mummy Facechook page and then reported on 7
- Seems all you need is a brush and shaving cream plus a pressure washer and you’re in business. No need to spend all that hard earned cash on a professional, is there?
- Think of the money you’ll save! Even if the rug does end up a little the worse for wear…
- Looks like we’ll be getting rid of all our equipment now and investing in Gillette instead!
