- Now will cost her over $500 to fix instead of $220 if it had been left well enough alone and given to an “expert”

Had two different calls from 2 different property managers this week, both with similar-ish issue
First one, their carpet cleaner had cleaned a carpet – twice – and the odour problem only became worse!
Second one, they’d had a stain on the carpet and two different carpet cleaners had stated that the stain was impossible to remove. But – TADA! LIKE MAGIC WE MANAGED TO FIX THE BOTH!
Oddly enough, in both instances, we’ve managed to resolve the issues
Amazing what a little bit of experience and a wealth of knowledge can achieve!
People who look simply at pricing are not doing themselves any favours… if they want cheap, ring the other people that went in before us.

- Our focus this week has been on commercial work.
- We had a couple of largish commercial jobs to get through, one over the weekend and one yesterday.
- These jobs can provide their own challenges, as they can be difficult to access, so equipment often needs to be portable.
- But we have a variety of equipment and methods at our disposal at our means.
- We have 3 sizes of extraction machines, 3 different types of scrubbing machines and 3 different methods that we can use depending upon the situation. In total, we have 16 different pieces of cleaning equipment alone that we can drag out for any occasion – and that’s just for carpets!
- Then we have stuff for upholstery, stain removal, leather and tiles as well!
- So, we can do anything, anywhere, anytime!
- Got a commercial property that needs a birthday? Then call us.
- We had a tile and carpet job this week.
- It was the job from hell, with extreme soiling on the tiles in breakout rooms, training rooms and wet areas.
- It was one of those jobs that did not want to clean up without a fight!
- Commercial non-slip tiles in a plastics factory that works 24/7, so was a challenge from the get-go.
- Normal chemistry wasn’t cutting the mustard, so Carl and I put our heads together and came up with a solution… and it worked fantastically!
- Ended up with an extremely happy customer as both the tiles and the carpets came up an absolute treat!
- Once again, throw down the gauntlet, and we’ll rise to the challenge!
- I have an interesting lounge suite to quote this week.
- One of only 12 in the world, valued “between $50,000-$60,000.”
- No pressure, obviously!
- But when I asked Carl if he’d be happy to do it, his answer was, “Whether it’s $500 or $50,000, it still gets treated the same!”
- And that pretty much sums Fresh Aire up!
- We want all of our customers to feel valued and looked after, because they are!

- It’s been a while, but suddenly we’ve had a spate of challenging jobs.
- But unusually, they weren’t just challenging but came with customers prepared to pay for what they needed to be done!
- This is quite unusual, as many that have dirty carpets also can’t see the value in cleaning them!
- But this week, we’ve had people with filthy carpets, and are grateful that we could offer them a solution!
- So, if you have a challenging job that you’ve been putting off or know someone that has carpeting/upholstery that needs that little bit of elbow grease – get them to give us a call!
We all buy carpets for the colour to match our décor, so colour is important to us.
- But what happens when the colour is affected somehow, either by staining or even worse, colour loss?
- That’s when you call us! We can reinstate colour, a service precious few in Perth are able to do. We can rescue carpets, adding colour back or taking colour away and take away those unsightly marks.
- Have one I’m quoting today, apple juice mark they tried to remove themselves, which they did – along with the carpet colour! You’d be surprised at how many seemingly innocuous household cleaners can do that!
- So, keep your eye out for discoloured carpets and give them my card
Week after week I bang on about the specialist stuff we do
But don’t forget, we also do the mundane stuff too!
Standard cleaning, but to a higher standard than most
Whether a lightly soiled, heavily stained, basic carpet or heavily stained with all sorts of nasties carpet, we can cover it all!
Like a house we did yesterday, basic carpet clean on polypropylene fibre, but wax on it – which can be an issue because polypropylene is so heat sensitive!,
In the end though, a very and relieved, happy customer who now didn’t need to own up to her property manager about what had happened!
Whatever the challenge, we’ll find a solution.
Fresh Aire Carpet Cleaning, a breath of fresh air for your home!
Who am I looking for this week – keep those Facebook posts banging out people, they are working really well both directly and indirectly!
- Two similar situations that have arisen in the last week or so, one that I was directly involved in and one that another fellow industry member called me about to “pick my brains” so to speak.
- Odour in the carpet. In both cases, the customers decided we were both too expensive and went for a cheaper option.
- However, in both cases the contractors selected may have been cheaper but have little to no idea on how the process should work.
- Both called back within a day as the odour had worsened, and they both repeated the same “process”, which appeared to involve copious amounts of water and little chemical, but very little extraction.
- Results: both of them with saturated carpets that now weren’t just an odour issue, but a water damage issue as well!
- It took several days to achieve full drying on our job, but one room still had a major odour issue, replacement being the better option. Our colleague’s situation however is a full replacement.
- Sometimes a dollar saved is not saving at all!!
- Customer, very fussy, with stains on her expensive wool carpet
- Hubby had the temerity to bleed all over it after a mountain bike accident
- She had tried to remedy but failed
- House was sold, pending finance, so she was in a spin
- I advised her to leave the stains for now as I could get them out just as easily in 6 weeks as now.
- Saved her a couple of hundred as can now do the stain removal as part of a clean rather than a separate job
- She’s now stopped hyperventilating! Assured all will be resolved!
