BLOG PAGE STYLE #2
- Two jobs in past week – false info
- One involving dye, one losing dye
- Both claiming one thing, but truth was something else
- Some investigative work needed to work out the true issue
- First one said a pot plant, untreated… yet somehow full of chems that affected dyes – colour loss
- Second a rug, colour transfer – but polypropylene which won’t accept dyes – inks yes, dyes no|
- So had to work out what/how to do the jobs
- Nothing like a challenge – especially ones that result in very happy customers!
- Had a carpet this week, pure wool and silk, lobby in Perth CBD
- Took 1 week after installing for a serious coffee spill – culprit walked away without telling anyone
- They’ve attempted themselves!!
- 3 times!
- Each one a fail and damaging the carpet more and more
- Now they’ve called us as I’ve solved issues for them before
- But now concerned about price – $300 to fix 10 000’s of carpet
- Can’t fix stupid!
It’s that time of the year again, when the heavens open up, buildings leak and carpets get soggy
Contrary to popular belief, they don’t just dry out on their own
Soaking up with towels is not enough
Calling in Mr SuperSucker with his machine won’t cut it either!
Leaving them damp too long causes other issues, both in damage to your carpet and potentially to your health.
Water damage is another specialist area that, whilst it costs money, saves an awful lot of money when done correctly.
So if you hear of anyone with a squelchy problem underfoot, give them our name to sort it out!
Sometimes, we get a job and you just have to shake your head
This week, we had a carpet that was basically trashed
And along with that, damaged to the point where the carpet backings had failed!
But… they were still on the floor, with a new tenant ready to move in 2 days later.
So we had no choice but to get it presentable and inhabitable!
Talk about your Silk purse/sow’s ear scenario
Glad to say, we got the job done, and the carpets will live to see a few more months until the owner decides to replace the carpets for his new tenant – namely his pregnant daughter!
If you need a minor miracle to be performed, think of us…
- Fresh Aire Carpet Cleaning, that definite breath of Fresh Aire for your home!
We’ve been doing some work with a couple of aged care businesses of late
These people assist elderly people who want to live out their days in their own homes, at least for as long as possible
It’s a lovely way for people to stay independent for as long as possible.
We get called in to assist them with keeping their carpets and upholstery maintained
We make sure to treat them and their properties with the due respect that they deserve.
They’re mostly lovely old folk, and it’s an honour to be able to help them out
Upholstery fabrics – we want them to be comfortable, inviting, in tune with our decor and liveable
Wait, did I say liveable?
Seems that there are a lot of fabrics creeping into the market with the dreaded viscose I’ve gone about so often before
Manufacturers seem to think that because they feel and look great (and we’ve now accustomed to disposability?) that viscose is a great choice
But for we cleaners, they are a nightmare
Browning issues, colour loss issues, tearing issues (76% weaker when wet), yellowing with age… do I need to go on?
Buyer beware, all that glitters is not gold, but if you need someone capable of cleaning them without damage – CALL US!!
Oops! It’s 10.00 pm on a Friday night and I’ve dropped my late snack all over my carpet… what can I do?
Well, obviously at that time of night, it may be a little hard to contact us!
But fear not… there are things you can do
And if you want to do them safely, simply go to our website to download a free Stain Removal Guide
There you’ll find some helpful hints on how to remove many stains safely and with simple, safe, household cleaning agents
Remember, the sooner you get onto them, the better and if you can’t effectively remove them, then call us!
So this week, I was looking at where our jobs had come from
Basically just to keep track of marketing results
It was quite disappointing to see that marketing had barely had a look-in this past week.
Why?
Don’t get me wrong, we weren’t scratching for work, but there was a real silver lining to it…
Almost all of our jobs had come from repeat clients or referrals from clients!
So, it seems we are doing something right.
And basically, I think that boils down to customer service… delivering quality services with great outcomes at value for money!
Want your carpets/upholstery/tiles/leather or know someone needing them done? You know who to call!
We did a job yesterday because it seems someone didn’t have their sea legs on!
Either that it or it was too many espresso martinis…
But either way, one martini espresso made an express delivery to the lovely wool carpet on a rather nice motor yacht!
Obviously, the owners weren’t as appreciative of that splash as other splashes that may occur on a boat, so wanted it gone!
So it was a case of getting on board and steam away… the stain that is!
All fixed again in no time, with a happy owner and relieved passenger!
So if your carpets hit rough seas, make sure to give us a call, we’ll soon make it smooth sailing again!
Carl had a great job yesterday
An allegedly small bathroom to clean, only 4sqm of tiles, which it was–but..
3 storeys up, no lift, no warning
Tiles that were pretty well covered in paint
An owner that needed them done on the day regardless
Carl; challenge accepted!
So it was a case of dragging all of his gear up and down the stairs, with his ute and machine downstairs and his hoses snaking their way up 3 stories.
I think even his Garmin watch lost count of how many times he went up and down!
But, the job was done including a lot of scraping of paint and the loss of several kilos of body weight!
FACC, always going the extra mile (or flight of stairs) to keep our customers happy!
