Google could’ve been my friend?

Had a curious case – wine stain was the problem
“Have you tried anything on it yet?”
“Yes, my GF saw on Google that soda water and salt is the go.”
OK, no real harm – so I thought
I arrive, sure enough, he’s used soda water and salt. A whole carton of soda (24L) and 2 packs of rock salt, thrown all over the carpet!
So now, it’s not just a wine stain, it’s also water damage!
Carpets pulled up, underlay and carpet dried, refitted, vacuumed salt, THEN treated the stain
